Animal Science College - Home

The Animal Science College offers training for people interested in a career working with animals or looking to further their knowledge about animal care. Some students will already be working with animals, perhaps a farmer, breeder, groomer or animal facility owner, whilst others might be pet owners looking to improve their knowledge. We are located in Perth, Western Australia, but offer training to anyone, anywhere in the world.
"The course is available anywhere in the world"
Students may come from many varied backgrounds and entry to this course has no requirements for previous studies or work experience. We do ask that you are least 16 years old. Students can study as little as one module (perhaps a module about Nutrition and Feeding) that they have a specific interest in or study all the core units in the course and gain the government recognised Certificate III in Animal Studies. Some students will study all of the modules available. You only enroll and pay for the modules you study as you go, there are no application or course fees other than for the modules you enroll in. There are no contracts locking you into course completion and you can start at any time of the year.
Enrolments are available to students living in Australia or overseas, however only an English language version is available at present. Students will download their study materials and submit assessments online. A postage option is available for students living in Australia. Students living in Perth are also welcome to attend a free tutorial afternoon on a Tuesday at our college.
The Animal Science College is a division of Applied Vocational Training, a Perth based college that has been training veterinary nurses and animal care students since 1999, The college is run by a group of Veterinarians, Animal Scientists and Veterinary Nurses, many of whom are qualified as teachers and educators.
We offer professional and ethical studies in animal care and are registered with the Australian Government as training providers. We are supported and endorsed by the Australian Veterinary Association.
